Contemporary Floral Artist Isabelle Gautier is celebration a Day of Peace and Relationship

Autumn Bliss

Huff Post - Religion- sep 23, 2015 blog from sep 23 2014...by Gahl Eden Sasson
How should we celebrate?
Even if you opened this (email) not on the day it fell into your binary-devices, no problem, in the ancient world, many cultures celebrated this auspicious day for an entire week. You can look at the Equinox as your "Relationships' Day." We have Father's Day and Mother's Day, Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Anniversary Day, but we have no Relationships' Day that felicitates the people, past and present, that shared our lives one way or the other. Autumn Equinox is the perfect time to meditate on your partners, from your first love to today. Maybe find three reasons why you were together and three reasons why it did not work. These relationship could include your training buddy, your business partner, your hiking pal etc.
The Equinox helps us reassess our relationships to relationship. It invites us to experience light and dark equally, good and bad, the positive as well as negative in every relationship we have or had - the seen and unseen, the conscious and subconscious. In other words, today is a great day for healing our significant relationship and reboot them with the new equinox 2015.0 upgrade...
Happy Autumn for those above the equator and happy spring to those below...

Peony on Yellow by Cathy McIntire

"Peony on Yellow" 24"x24" oil with Resin coating, $900
Cathy McIntire Blog
This painting was reworked from its original version. Colors were modified, the composition was strengthened a bit, and texture added with more paint application. My painting roots are traditional, but I keep pushing my creative envelope to produce work that shows more artistic license, more interpretation, and more painting decisions made "in the moment."

The painting has been varnished with epoxy resin, the equivalent of 50 coats of traditional varnish. The result is a glass-like finish that is very clear and shows every brushstroke, enhances the color, and makes the painting look like it was just painted.

Poppies, 16x20" Monica Burnette

Sometimes I just need to paint something red. That was the case this weekend, and this is what came out. The rainy remnants of Lee are still in the air, so I will take a better photo when the sun comes out.

Like tiny yellow trumpets heralding the first signs of spring, the daffodils appeared in the landscape. Thank you previous caretakers of the property for this nice gift. The flowers are the divas of the land right now as they bloom before the other colors. This painting is currently available through my website. For more information, please email: Durinda@Durinda.com.
Have a colorful spring day!

Beating the Winter Blues by Durinda Cheek

White Roses
oil on linen
20 x 16
Since I decided to stay in north Georgia over the winter instead of my usual SW Florida beach house, I had to keep my spirits up by painting florals in the studio. Then for some unknown reason I kept choosing white flowers to paint instead of brightly colored ones. Maybe the winter snows were affecting me? This is available currently in my studio. Email me for more information: Durinda@Durinda.com.
