12 x 9 in
oil on canvas
A plein aire painting done in Vickery Creek, Georgia. The temperature soared to 96°F that day and air was heavy with high humidity. It was definitely hotter in a small valley of Vickery Creek, but thick vegetation and a small creek had an intimate feel.
Walking a bit from a parking lot, I found a nice vantage point on top of an old stone wall. The footing was somewhat unstable, but the view of the creek reflecting the sky and the bridge in the distance was lovely.
