“Summer Garden Path” by Diane K. Hewitt
16x12” Oil on Canvas Board
This painting was inspired by a photo I took
this month in my perennial garden. The Muscadine
Grape vines were planted before we moved in 11 years ago. But, the rest of what I call my “English
Perennial Garden” was created by me to soothe myself after my baby went away to
college. My husband helped by laying the
bricks around a fountain in a symmetrical pattern throughout the garden. Every year it’s a race as to who will get the
grapes first…the birds or us. The birds
usually win! To see more of my paintings CLICK HERE.
