“Fishing At Settles Bridge” by Diane K. Hewitt
11x14” Oil on Canvas Panel
This was a painting that was started ‘en plein aire’, and
completed in the studio. This particular
section of the Chattahoochee River in North Georgia creeps under an old rusted
out “Settle’s Bridge” and across soft boulders, where a few fishermen were
perched. While painting this particular
boulder two geese decided to grace us with their presence, as they searched for
their next snack. It was nice to see
man and fowl sharing the bounty of the river.
