This was a recent commission for a couple in New York. The wife commissioned this piece for her husband's birthday...what a special surprise!! A lot of artists feel somewhat "in the box" when they are commissioned to paint something, however, I find it to be a joy as I get to know the clients I am working with. It just gives life more flavor and interest. This woman just so happened to be a personal chef in New York, and I am learning so much from her health blog on healthy cooking. Life brings such interesting connections, and I would never pass up the opportunity to meet someone new a long this journey.
